WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY EXPERIENCE AT AXN BOOTCAMP RETREAT?

AXN Bootcamp Retreat has an extensively experienced team to support you on your fitness journey. Our programme is designed to inspire, motivate and kick-start your health and weight loss goals. You WILL leave us feeling fitter, healthier and energised after your stay. We aim to ensure that you feel confident to continue your journey on your return home. We will inject variety and fun during your time with us and introduce you to new and challenging activities in the beautiful surroundings of the Algarve.
 

IS EVERYONE THAT COMES TO THE BOOTCAMP RETREAT FIT?

Our clients are of all ages, male and female and have a variety of fitness levels. Everyone will be challenged at his or her level or ability.
 

CAN I COME TO THE BOOTCAMP RETREAT ON MY OWN?

Of course, lots of our clients come to our Bootcamp Retreat on their own. You are able to share rooms with others, which can make people feel supported and encourage team building. However if you prefer, we have single rooms available.
 

I’M VERY UNFIT/OVERWEIGHT/NERVOUS?

We aim to encourage, guide and mentor you. We will provide you with all the support and encouragement at the right fitness level for you.
 

WILL I LOSE WEIGHT?

This will depend on how much weight you have to lose, but by giving your all and sticking to the nutritional diet that we provide, the answer to this question is most certainly YES! We aim to provide you with the tools to continue to lose weight in a safe and controlled way.
 

WILL I BE PUSHED HARD IN THE TRAINING?

Our exercise programme will be tailored to your personal fitness levels. You will be challenged mentally and physically and you will be surprised and motivated by how much you can actually achieve.
 

IF I DON'T WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT CAN I STILL ATTEND?

If your focus is on improving muscle, strength or even gaining weight to improve overall wellbeing then we can support you with this also. The diet that we will provide you with will be adjusted accordingly to meet your health requirements.
 

HOW WILL I GET FROM AND TO THE AIRPORT?

We will arrange transport to collect you from Faro airport. You may be required to wait an acceptable amount of time whilst we collect other clients from other flights. Clients will arrive at a variety of different times throughout the check-in day and we aim to carry out our Welcome Meeting once all clients are present.
On departure day, you may be asked to leave earlier than expected so we are able to transfer clients to the airport where departure times are close together.
 

WHAT TIMES DO WE EAT?

Meal times are roughly at the same time each day but this depends on the daily activities. However to give you an idea;
08:30 - Breakfast
13:30 - Lunch
19:30 - Dinner
(2 snack per day between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner).
 

WHAT DIET WILL I BE GIVEN?

You will be given a calorie controlled diet with clean healthy, fresh (organic where possible) and locally sourced produce.
 

I HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES; WILL THAT BE A PROBLEM?

We are able to cater for all food allergies and intolerances. If you have religious beliefs, which means you need to eat a restricted diet, please let us know this information on our Health Questionnaire and we will do our best to accommodate.
 

WHAT IF I TAKE MEDICATION?

You will need to disclose ALL medication that you are taking by completing our Health Questionnaire. From this information we may ask more questions and you may be advised that you are not able to attend. You may also be asked to provide us with a Doctor’s note to confirm that you are able to participate in the activities.
 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I INJURE MYSELF DURING THE STAY?

Your injury will be reported and logged by a member of the AXN Team. You will be assessed and if need be we will arrange medical attention. (N.B you will need to ensure that you have the correct travel insurance, which covers accident or injury prior to travelling to us).
 

WHAT IF I CANNOT CONTINUE WITH MY TRAINING?

We will advise that you stop exercising immediately. You may be able to continue with your stay at the Bootcamp and we will ensure that you are as comfortable as possible. However, it may also be in your interest to return home. These costs will need to be covered by your travel insurance or by you personally in the interim period whilst your claim is being processed. We will be able to provide you with the necessary paperwork to support your insurance claim.
